Our research team at the Faculty of Safety Engineering, VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic, deals with the problem of removing harmful substances from drinking water by filtering them out with the assistance of membranes – hollow fibers or capillary tubes. In order to gain the most complex and most verifiable results, we want to study as much materials available in the world market as possible, assess their properties that are determining for our research subject, and those most suitable then choose for the construction of prototype device for the treatment of drinking water. If the device proves itself, its production can be considered. Does your company produce or use the hollow fibers or capillary tubes that could be useful for our research? The material should have the following properties: Type of material: hydrophobic Outer diameter: max 2mm Compressive strength: min 0,4MPa Tensile strength: min 2 Newton Thermal resistance: 2 – 40 °C Porosity: min. 60% Pores dimension: min. 10 nanometers Permeability type: out-in Total length: up to 500 meters We would like to order from you approx. five hundred meters of hollow fibers and/or capillary tubes for our research. If the material is available in shorter pieces, not “on a spool”, then the length of one piece should exceed 65 centimeters. Could you please send us the quotation and terms of delivery?
