Products:
Ultrafiltration (UF), Reverse Osmosis (RO),
High-Efficiency Reverse Osmosis (HERO™), Electrodialysis (ED), Electrodialysis Reversal (EDR).
Gas Transfer Membrane (GTM®): Gas transfer membrane (GTM®) contactors are used for degassing liquids in many industries worldwide such as microelectronics, pharmaceuticals, and power.
Ionics uses Liqui-Cel® GTM® contactors manufactured by Membrana.
Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCl) Production: Ionics has been a leader in the development of membrane cell technology for over fifty years. The Cloromat® membrane cell equipment was first developed by Ionics for commercial use in 1973.
Triple Membrane Treatment (TMT™) System: The combination of ultrafiltration - reverse osmosis - electrodeionization (UF-RO-EDI) technologies in the TMT™™ System is a departure from conventional water treatment. These technologies use small quantities of electricity to remove suspended and dissolved impurities from the raw water.
Toray Membrane America (TMA): Toray Membrane America, Inc. (TMA) is a joint venture partnership formed in 2000 among Toray Industries (Japan), Ionics Incorporated (USA) and Mitsui & Co. (USA). The objective is to establish a United States-based source for Toray's high-performance membrane products with local technical and applications resources as well as inventory to meet water treatment needs within the U.S., Caribbean, and South America.
